March General Meeting: “Earthquakes Desaster Effects” by Khalid RAMDAN

Mr Khalid RAMDAN got his PhD in civil engineering/geotechnical earthquake engineering from the Universityof Washington, Seattle, in 1975.  He is a member of the “Tau Beta Pi Honor Engineering Society”. Currently, he is Professor Emeritus at Mohammed V University in  Rabat; Dean of Mohammadia School of Engineering, manager/ consultant of several firms.
He has also been involved in more than 200 construction projects (large dams, bridges, factories, buildings, roads, aeroports,  etc.)
He is a Coauthor of Moroccan Earthquake Resistant Design Code (RPS2000) and the author of a book entitled Dynamic Properties of Deep Sea Sediments in addition to some 50 scientific research papers .
